Queen Rearing Recorded Class

SKU: 1080

Have you ever wondered about raising your own queens? Maybe you've tried grafting in the past with limited success and you'd like to improve your skills? This is the class for you!

In this online Queen Rearing course, Ellen Bell of Bell Farm will explain the ins and outs of queen rearing based upon her own personal experience raising queens in her operation. Topics of discussion will include: principles of queen development, stock selection, traits to select for, putting together a cell builder, grafting tools and techniques, handling queen cells, setting up splits, and managing through the process of mating. There will also be a live demonstration of queen rearing equipment.

This class consists of a 2 hour and 40 minute video that was recorded in March 2022 when we taught the class live via Zoom. After making your purchase, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the class recording and slide decks. You will have access to the content through December 31, 2024, and the class recording can be rewatched as many times as you wish, through the end of the year.

The recording is for personal use only by the original purchaser. Sharing and/or unauthorized distribution is strictly prohibited.

While this class is open to anyone who'd like to attend, the queen rearing methods presented are best suited to beekeepers with 2 or more years of experience and 10+ hives.
